Rishi Sunak
Rishi Sunak has been serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom since 25 October 2022. He is the first Prime Minister of British Asian ethnicity
He is Hindu and was born on 12th May 1980 in Southampton, Hampshire. His parents were of Indian descent and migrated to Britain from East Africa in the 1960s.
Sunak has been the Leader of the Conservative Party since 24 October 2022. He also served as Chancellor of the Exchequer from 13 February 2020 to 5 July 2022,
Chief Secretary to the Treasury from 25th July 2019 to 13th February 2020, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Local Government from 9 January 2018 to 24 July 2019, and he has been a Member of Parliament (MP) for Richmond (Yorks) since May 2015.
Rishi was educated at a boys’ independent boarding school at Winchester College. He studied philosophy, politics, and economics (PPE) at Lincoln College. He has earned an MBA degree from Stanford University as a Fulbright Scholar.

Sunak was born on 12th May 1980 in South Hampton, Hampshire to Yashveer and Usha SUnak
Sunak’s grandfathers were both born in Punjab province, British India, and emigrated to East Africa. His paternal grandmother was from Delhi and his maternal grandmother was from Tanganyika (which later became part of Tanzania). His grandparents migrated with their families to the United Kingdom in the 1960s.[27]

Career
He worked as an analyst for Investment Bank, Goldman Sach between 2001-2004, he then worked for Hedgefund Management Firm, The Children’s Investment Fund Management becoming a partner in September 2006.
He left in November 2009 to join other former colleagues at the New hedge Fund Firm Theleme partners which was launched in October 2010 with an initial $700 million.
Sunak was also a director of the Investment Firm Catamaran Ventures owned by his father-in-law Indian businessman N.R. Narayan Murthy.
Member of Parliament
Was selected as the conservative candidate for Richmond (Yorks) in 2014
Was elected as MP for the constituency in the 2015 General Election with a majority of 19,550 (36.2%).
Was reelected as MP in the 2017 general election with an increased majority of 23,108 (40.5%).
He was the parliamentary under-secretary for local government between January 2018 and July 2019.
