United States Open Tennis Championships or US Open is an international tennis tournament played on hard courts. It is the fourth Grand Slam tournament of the year, after the Australian Open, the French Open and the Wimbledon, which is played over two weeks between late August and early September every year.
Since 1978, all the US Open matches have been played on hard courts at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York.
